Why do a "Year in Review" post?
Damn good question.
I think part of the reason is to remind myself of all accomplished this past year: My first large scale retail experience at QuiltCon, designing 4 new quilt and pillow patterns, a string of Modern Patchwork Magazine covers(three-in-a-row, though one of those was in 2014), fun opportunities to teach across the country, appearances on my two favorite podcasts, Crafty Planner and While She Naps, my new passion for combining indigo and wax resist, re-focusing on my online store, creating an email newsletter, moving my website, and designing and selling my first hand dyed and patterned wearables.
Whew! I guess that's enough for one year. But, that's not why I think this review is useful. I tried and did a lot, some of which worked, meaning it excited me and my customers, and some of it didn't. If I don't look back and ask questions about what's worth pursuing in the coming year and why, then in some way, all the trying was pointless. Everything has to move you forward, helping you to recognize the path that's right for you and rejecting the one you're not meant to walk.
So, without too much more chitter-chatter, here's a visual recap on 2015 for a stitch in dye:
